During the month of February, Mrs. Connelly’s fifth grade students were reading novels for their “Tournament of Books” competition that takes place in March. Each student gives a book review presentation to their classroom students for a chance to be placed in the top 16 books that students would most like to read. If their book makes it to the top “16” they write another review until the books are narrowed down to the winner. (pictured above)
(pictured below) Mrs. Richards’ fifth grade students at Lynch were also busy reading novels of their choice the last few weeks in celebration of “Read Across America Week.” Once they finished their books they illustrated a copy of their book cover and created a ‘readbox’ seen here.
